Sitting within Australia's Office of the Pacific at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the AIFFP engages with Pacific partners, and the public and private sectors, to identify and enable quality infrastructure.
Our team works with Pacific governments to plan, assess and finance significant projects, leveraging loan and grant financing.
Sovereign loans attract interest commensurate with multilateral development bank rates.
Loan financing is also available to the private sector for high quality, transformational infrastructure projects. These loans are priced at market.
Each project is rigorously assessed and the AIFFP works closely with project proponents to ensure they comply with DFAT’s values and guidelines.
Our operations and assessment criteria are guided by the Design Document available here.
