AIFFP Releases Annual Update for FY23-24

The Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) is pleased to announce the release of the AIFFP Annual Update for FY2023-24, providing a comprehensive overview of the AIFFP’s activities, achievements, and impact.

As at 30 June 2024, the AIFFP had announced 28 projects across 11 countries in the region worth AUD2 billion, with notable progress made in the delivery of transportation, energy and climate infrastructure.

2023-24 marked an important year for the AIFFP as the facility shifted its focus from originating a pipeline of transformational projects across the Pacific to the implementation of a complex portfolio of infrastructure assets.

The report particularly highlights the AIFFP’s work in climate resilience with a feature on the Pacific Climate Infrastructure Financing Partnership (PCIFP) which is investing AUD350 million to help the Pacific transition to renewable energy and fund critical climate adaptation works.

Each Annual Update highlights the AIFFP’s commitment to achieving development outcomes, with all projects designed to meet the highest international standards on social and environmental safeguards, optimisation of job creation and economic opportunities for local workers and firms.
